The El Paso Women’s Business Border Center established in 2001, offer the following programs and services:

• The Minority Business Research and Certification Center:
  A long-term training and counseling program that provides a general orientation to business ownership; in-depth basic and advanced technical assistance, including start-up requirements and procedures, business plan development, financial management and marketing assistance and strategies for expansion; business loan application training and counseling; access to business data, e.g. through Internet training for business uses; and counseling and training on government procurement processes. The Minority Business Research and Certification Center has extended services to 460 women over the last three years.
  
  
• WBBC Annual Symposium
  Tremendous event bringing together women from throughout the Southwest. National and regional speakers with expertise on business issues are included. Business Owner Leadership Certificates are awarded.

These programs provide a continuum of services for women at different levels of business and professional development and represent a solid foundation to support the growth of women-owned businesses in the El Paso area.
