Your WBBC is a part of a national initiative promoting entrepreneurship in youth, military, and Hispanic entrepreneurs.

We have formed a formal partnership since 2007, with the Army Community Services Employment Readiness Program. The center provides onsite counseling to the military spouses that are interested in entrepreneurship. The WBBC conducts trainings offered to the military community about "How to Start a Business" and "How to Mobilize their Home Based Business."  The WBBC also participates in their weekly spouse orientations to inform the spouses of the unique services of the center, the Hispanic Chamber and as well as the U.S. Small Business Administration.  We also waive all the fees for the military spouses.

The Center also participates in a national initiative called Boots to Business Workshops. The Boots to Business Workshops were designed for transitioning soldiers that were interested in entrepreneurship.  The sessions take place in the Soldier for Life Center and the WBBC participates actively since the initiative started four years ago.  The center presents to the transitioning soldiers on how to obtain capital and the resources available to them.
